This Spring I have been extra dabble-friendly in new fashion and beauty products. Between a new year starting and summer finally approaching, I find that this time of year is when I’m most inspired in my field. And in that process, I’ve become super dependent on some of my favorites. These have been some of my go-to products this year and I’ve gotta say, I’m oh so grateful for how they make me feel. Take a look!
Formula X Strengthening Prescription: This prescription from Formula X is truly just that: a prescription. As someone who is constantly dabbling in acrylic nails and gel polish, I am also consistently working on rebuilding my natural nails and making sure they stay healthy. This little kit is so good at adding that extra strength to your nails that they need, with easy-to-use packaging that does the work for you.
Formula X Sheer Strength in “Wondrous”: This is just the full size bottle of the little pink shade included in the package above. I loved it so much that I realized I was going through it rapidly, so I had to grab a full-size! This color is the perfect light neutral pink hue that provides just a nice “polished” look to your nails.
Nailtiques Formula 2 Plus: Similar to the strengthening prescription, I’ve been using this to rebuild my nails from the bad decisions of my past (and my future, come on). Use this every day for seriously strong nails, or even just a couple days before you polish on your own. I notice instant results with this one – it has saved me!
Orly Color Amp’d in “Forever Young”: My favorite pink color of the season! I’ve always loved OPI’s “Mod About You” but have had difficulty finding it in recent months. When I found this Orly shade at the drugstore, I felt my nail polish needs had finally been met. It’s such a nice blend of white and pink. Perfectly bright, yet stylishly subtle.
Sally Hansen Xtreme in “Breezy Blue”: Basically the blue equivalent of my statements above. I love this light blue shade for Spring & Summer! It has enough color to stand out but is light enough to act as a neutral. This style is your typical win-win.
Ish Contour Kit in “Light/Medium”: I received this contour kit in my Spring 2016 FabFitFun box (sign up here) and instantly fell in love. It has the perfect rosy blush hue that’s just enough out of my comfort zone, with a pale pink highlighter and two different shades of bronzers. It’s the easiest piece to travel with and made my day to day makeup so easy all Spring long. Thanks FabFitFun!
Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette: After lusting over this palette for a while, my local Ulta finally started carrying this brand. This was my first purchase by Makeup Revolution, but I’ve been so impressed! The bronzers are bronzers have a creamy yet powdery finish that allow colors to just glide onto your skin like butta baby. I love the warm-toned hues and the shimmery but subtle highlighters. For $15, this is definitely worth a try!
Excuse the powder all over the place. I just can’t get enough of these bad boys.
Garnier Fructis Micellar Cleansing Water: This cleansing water is just so lightweight and perfect for everyday wear. As the bottle says, it’s great for removing makeup and just generally refreshing the skin. I love to use it on days when I’m going all day makeup-free. I’ll check in every few hours and go over my face with this lightweight water, and it just instantly cleans & rehydrates my skin. Love the fresh feeling you get!
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo: I. love. this. dry shampoo. I love it! Normally a Batiste die-hard fan (I still love you, Batiste), I was just swept off my feet by this beauty from Living Proof. I received this small size bottle (normally $12) in one of my Ipsy bag’s (sign up here) and have been a devoted friend every since. This is the first dry shampoo I’ve ever used that genuinely leaves my hair feeling clean and refreshed. I’m one of those girls that goes forever in between washes. Like I’ll stretch it to 4-5 days if I’m really feeling frisky, so dry shampoo is a must in my life. Most of the time they do the trick, but they always leave a little residue. This one doesn’t! Just a simple, clean, actually shampoo-ed feeling. This is a new holy grail!
Crown Brush Blush Brush: (say that five times fast) I was lucky enough to get this brush in my April 2016 Ipsy bag (you seriously need to check it out), and I’ve found that it’s the perfect brush for my day to day highlighting. It has soft bristles that are ideal for stippling, plus a super comfy groove for perfect finger placement. This brush is just so comfortable to hold and makes it effortless to just lightly pat your highlight on. And no more streaky lines that fan brushes can tend to give!
SocialEyes Tweezers: These tweezers have saved my lash life! After a tumultuous relationship with the plastic applicators that Ardell provides (which is a sweet gesture that I do appreciate), I was so happy to finally make the small investment in these SocialEyes beauties. They make applying false lashes SO easy with a closer application than I’ve ever had before. LOVE this, need it, want more, have to have it, it’s my new girlfriend. You know.
Hemp Bronzing Moisturizer: This one isn’t exactly just a Spring 2016 favorite, as I’ve been an avid user for years. But, since I find myself more religious about the process in the warmer months, I figured I had to mention it. I feel like this lotion is seriously one of the most underrated self tanners. It’s so easy to use, easily accessible at the drugstore, and keeps your tan long lasting. It’s not a full-on self tanner, so it’s a non-hassle item. You simply add the lotion and get a bit of dark color. Easy peasy.
Buxom Lip Gloss in “Dolly”: This Buxom gloss has been one of my favorites this season simply because of it’s natural color and “plumping” effect. I love the little tingle it gives and the fact that it just makes your lips look juicy. I can’t explain it in any other way, but I love it!
NYX Butter Gloss in “Eclair”: Same as the Buxom gloss, this has just been one of my go-tos this season. It has a slight pink hue that’s girly yet classic. The perfect mix of young yet adult. I love that these butter glosses really go on like butter and are just glossy, not sticky. And for $5, you can get them in every color!
EOS Lip Balm Stick in “Sweet Mint”: LOVE that EOS finally made more practical packaging for these lip balms. I love the formula behind EOS and the tasty Sweet Mint flavor (flavor? scent?), but the round packaging of the past just wasn’t always the easiest with my “throw my chapstick in every compartment that exists including every pocket and crevice I can find” habits. This new style is SO effortless – I’ve already gone through 4 of them. Literally. Obviously, I love this stuff!
And of course I had to add these girls, because they’re my favorite beauties this season (and every season) as well. 🙂
What beauty products are you loving? Thanks for hanging out!
