My Pamper Routine – Right From Home!

I love a good pamper routine, especially when done at home. My at-home pamper routine helps me feel more human and oh-so-luxurious from the comfort of my very own bathroom! Today I’m sharing my favorite self-care products and how I take some “me time” to treat myself. Don’t be hesitant to do the same – you deserve it!

I don’t always get to do everything in this post, because, well, it’s a lot, but I will try to do as much as possible. And on days when I do get to do this entire pamper routine, I feel like a whole new person!

My pamper routine always starts with a good bath.

I love our extra big tub, although I wish I used it more! When I do get a chance to, I fill it with warm water, a Lush bath bomb, and some rose bath salts that were gifted to me by a friend (these ones are great too). These Ouai chill pills are also a favorite of mine for a relaxing bath.

This waffle robe is lightweight yet gives coverage. I love it for spa days at home!

When I’m setting up my pamper routine, I also like to light candles and run an essential oil diffuser. This diffuser is beautiful and was a gift – I love it so much!

While I’m in the tub, I like to do a hair mask and a face mask. I slather my hair in coconut oil because it helps leave it super soft and silky. Pro Tip: use a hair coil to tie your coconut oil bun up! These are great for staying mess-free. For my face, this pore-clearing clay mask is one of my favorites. It’s only $15, it makes my skin super smooth after one use, and it has excellent reviews (for good reason!) In addition to my mask, I add some under-eye patches to de-puff and iron out fine lines. The Wander Beauty under-eye masks help tighten my skin and plump under my eyes. I swear you can feel your skin tightening with these things! Plus, something about the gold hue just feels extra luxurious.

When I get out of the bath, I take an extra hot shower to wash my hair and shave/exfoliate.

You can also skip the bath and go straight for a long, hot shower if you don’t have a tub! The focused time for yourself is really what matters most. In the shower, Aveda shampoo and conditioner are my favorites. I’ve been using them for over 10 years and my hair just responds best to Aveda! I also love to do a great all-over scrub using an exfoliant like the Soap and Glory Flake Away. Lastly, I’ll go over my feet with a classic pumice stone like this one.

Once I’m out of the shower, I take time to do my hair and take care of my skin.

I love a good sheet mask to leave my face extra moisturized and hydrated. They look crazy, I know, but they’re seriously worth it. You can get some really affordable sheet masks at Sephora (under $6 each!) or occasionally I’ll splurge on this sheet mask from Tatcha. If I’m trying to up the pamper factor, I’ll use this ice roller over the mask for an extra soothing touch. The ice roller is amazing for de-puffing after a night of being up with the baby, too! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used this first thing in the morning to help me look and feel more awake.

I know I look insane, ha! This microfiber hair towel is my favorite for soaking up wet strands while preventing damage.

After I’m fully masked out, it’s time for moisturizer and eye cream. I recently got this JLo Beauty moisturizer to try out. I figured it has to give me all of the same beauty secrets that JLo herself has, right? But before that, I used up this Deep Hydration Moisturizer from Fresh. This one is so moisturizing and great for dry skin during the winter months! For a bronzed glow, I mix the face self-tanning drops by Tan-Luxe into my daily moisturizer. You don’t need much, and it helps me bring some color to my face even on days when I don’t have time for makeup. Make sure to wash your hands after using these!

Under my eyes, the Tula cooling & brightening eye balm is my favorite. It’s so easy to use, feels great, and gives a bit of a highlight to the skin. It’s magical! You can use my code “OLIVIAZAPO” to save on anything at Tula.com, too. On top of that, I’ll layer with an additional under eye cream. Lately, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue Cream has been my go-to. It smooths, brightens, and gives my skin a really nice glow.

The last step in my at home pamper routine is self tanner.

Loving Tan has been my favorite self-tanner for years and is what I reach for when I’m doing my full tanning routine (more on that to come soon!) This past year I’ve found myself shorter on time, though, so Tan-Luxe’s The Butter moisturizer has become a staple in my routine. This is a gradual self-tanner that gives such a deep tan. I just use it as lotion every day or two, and it maintains my tan all of the time! I get the larger size and wait for sales on it at HSN, where I can usually snag this otherwise $90 bottle for around $30! Last time I stocked up and got 3 so I always have some on hand. It’s that good! If you’re waiting for a sale, I’d recommend trying the Tan-Luxe Gradual Self Tanner. This one is lighter in weight, almost a little watery, but gives the same glow.

Lastly, I like to put on some makeup to complete my self care look. You can read my post on my makeup routine and holy grail products here!

Don’t forget to take some time to pamper yourself, in whatever way feels best. You can’t take care of others fully until you’ve first taken care of yourself! Life is too short not to take the “me time” you deserve.

Feeling like a new person after this pamper routine!
